Cardcast is an open-format, card-matching party game for the Google Chromecast and Android TV.

NOTE: If your Chromecast isnt found, try restarting your iPhone or iPad by holding down the power button for several seconds. After turning it back on, the Chromecast should be found by Cardcast. This issue appears to stem from a bug in the Cast code from Google.

Playing is easy:
1. A judge draws a call.
2. Players submit responses that match or complete the call.
3. The judge picks a favorite response.
4. Rinse and repeat.

Call and response decks are pulled from the http://www.cardcastgame.com API. Play with the most-popular decks or create your own.

Pros and cons of Cardcast - A Card & Party Game app for iPhone and iPad

Cardcast - A Card & Party Game app good for

Literally play for hours with my roommates. Really well done, easy to use, and induces LOTS of laughter
My friends and family have played for hours and hours and 3 people I know have purchased Chromecasts just because of this game entirely!! Great card sets and varied game play.

Some bad moments

I would love to try this game out, but unfortunately it wont recognize my Chromecast. Just says "No chromecasts found." I made sure my other compatible apps could see my Chromecast and they all could, so its just this app.
The app works nicely, has a polished UI, and is quite fun. Sometimes has connection issues, but they are usually resolved by restarting the chromecast/ quitting and re-opening the app. If that doesnt work, restarting the phone always solves the problems (read the app description) Suggestion: if we can customize what it says in the bottom right of the tv screen (like have the wifi password and a qr code to download app)
The app is so easy to use, looks great and is hours of fun. What a great idea and perfect use of the Chromecast technology. I wish all board games had this set up.
Because there arent prompts, instructions or intuitive icons, I honestly couldnt figure out how to join a room and waited impatiently at a table no one ever joined. Couldnt find any explanation or instructions or a forum about this in app support, so I gave up.
I never really write reviews but since this app had like none I had to leave one. This app is great I dont know how it isnt popular. Played it with friends for literally 4 hours straight. This app is poorly advertised because it is basically just cards against humanity on the chrome cast and no one would be able to tell by the title. If the designs and graphics were upgraded this app would be like my favorite app ever used
Way better than playing manually with cards. However even with playing the all cards deck, we were seeing lots of the same questions and answers pop up. Wish it was more randomized.
